Congenital Vascular Anomalies – The most common congenital vascular malformations are port wine stains and hemangiomas. Port wine stains are a capillary malformation that progress as a patient ages and it is important to treat these to limit their progression and associated problems including overgrowth and deformity. Our Mobile Vein Treatment options include lasers such as pulse dye laser or Nd:YAG, excision, or other destruction methods. Hemangiomas arise in young children and may go away on their own. If they bleed, obstruct vision, or are rapidly enlarging, urgent treatment is indicated. Less troublesome hemangiomas can still be troublesome to patients and parents and treatment options include laser therapy, steroid injection, excision, or other destruction.
